  1. I'M A LIBERAL. I VOTED FOR TRUDEAU. I GIVE MONEY TO THE PARTY EVERY MONTH. I'M DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY IT'S GOING.
IT'S DOPERS THAT PUT HIM IN–NOT MADD, AND BLAIR, AND SOME HYSTERICAL SOCIAL WORKER. MORE BULLSHIT. THAT'S
CANADIAN WAY. YA CAN HAVE ANYTHING AS LONG AS YA CAN'T HAVE IT. TAKE CARE GARE

The problem is our so called democracy .
Here in Canada ,  its a very high percentage number needed in order to launch a
referendum and they are always enacted by a minority party . They are used
as an election ploy but worst than that they are none binding and can be ignored
even by the party trying to bring them in .In the US  , state wide initiatives are binding and can not be ignored by government .The reason why the marijuana laws are changing is due to this and nothing else .Often the government will enact laws that go against 50 % or more of the people
regardless of what the majority thinks and worst than that , the newly elected
governments continue to leave these laws in place .
We can not call this democracy when laws go against the majority of the people
and we……the people ( HERE IN CANADA ) have no mechanism to change things .Changing the electoral system will change nothing .The only chance of any kind of democracy is , Initiative , Referendum and Recall .
    Here is one example :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGGVGvInEbY

This way we can make laws and most importantly get rid of bad ones . The important thing here is our form of democracy not the marijuana issue .The marijuana issue would have fixed its self a long time ago if we had the proper democratic system .Denis
